Mirror trick

The living room we shoot in is only 12 feet across, so to give the illusion of a big office, we put mirrors along the top of the back wall. We glued 9 of them with some gunk called Mirror Magic and none have fallen off yet. From some angles the ceiling warps in the reflection due to the earth quake damage in the building. The above picture highlights the mirrors in B&W and outlining each 1 x 4 foot mirror.

Carl's reverse angle also presented a problem, since there was a wall 2 feet back with a door and a bookcase in plain view. We used a Final Cut Pro filter called "garbage matte" to insert a reversed image of the ceiling from the other direction. Don't believe anything you see on Powerloafing, it's all smoke and mirrors.
